The textile production in Puebla was of great importance for the industrial development of the city during the whole 20th century, the factories were established mainly on the banks of the Atoyac, the biggest of our rivers; to take advantage of the hydroelectric energy.

In an effort to generate sustainability, the industries should promote a new economic system that compromises their relationship with the environment. However, Puebla's textile industry has lagged behind, contaminating it with garbage, textile waste, and high levels of lead, cadmium, and other heavy metals. This series documents the territories made vulnerable by being around the city's textile factories. The images generate reflection on the pollution of the river as they are made using cyanotype, an analogous and manual process; developed with the contaminated water of the river itself.
